SUMMARY
A non-exempt position, under general direction from the Case Management Coordinator, the Job Developer provides quality job development services to individuals with disabilities in work activity, supported and competitive employment programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for preparing consumers for sustainable employment opportunities within the community.
2. Ascertains and interprets data concerning consumer habits and preferences obtained from referring agencies, letters and other customer contacts to aid company in employment development.
3. Develops and implements appropriate training plans to ensure that social, educational, vocational, health are at optimum consumer capacity that supports job stabilization and maintenance, using applied behavioral analysis techniques; conducts employer-based performance evaluations.
4. Provides assistance with task analysis, vocational assessments, behavioral modification plans, etc. of assigned employees to ensure optimum consumer performance.
5. Maintains business connections with current and perspective employers, employment placement agencies, social services, educational institutions and other supportive services throughout the area.
6. Will assist the Case Management Coordinator with ensuring program requirements are met based upon the standards established by CARF, NISH-JWOD, CPOSH, Department of Rehabilitation, Habilitation, Department of Labor, Regional Center and other licensing agencies.
7. Accurately compiles and enters statistical reports on a timely basis; prepares correspondence and recurring reports for supervisor’s signature; prepares outgoing data.
8. In cooperation with Case Mangers coordinates Case Records Review and Quality Assurance reviews for Case managers.

1. Promotes a better, more cooperative working atmosphere by maintaining a safe, hazards free work environment, adhering to CAL-OSHA and ADA requirements.
2. Maintains a harmonious, pleasant and positive work environment as possible by following established standards that prevents undesirable conduct, including but not limited to discrimination, sexual harassment and alcohol /substance abuse.
3. Follows personnel policies closely, fosters cooperative staff relationships and effective teamwork.
4. Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance other departmental workloads, as assigned by the Director of ARC Industries.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have working knowledge of employment development skills along with medical and behavioral needs of developmentally disabled program participants.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, speak and write in English (Bi-lingual preferred).
- Ability to read, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend reports, business correspondence and procedural manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situation.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Current California Driver’s License; Clean DMV Report
- Direct support professional training preferred.
- Background clearance
