Please note that weekends and evenings are a must and this role is approximately 10-20 hours a week. If you are not available to work Saturdays, this is not the position for you.
Pay: $15.55/hour plus bonuses and tips to start. There is availability to advance to a key holder position and earn more pay.
More about the Game Master role:
- Meet and greet clients with enthusiasm, check them in and help sign the waivers;
- Set up the escape room for each new game session and ensure all props are in proper working order.
- Monitor game-play via a computer and give hints to participants when necessary.
- Make reservations, process payments, and take customer photos.
- Ensure all props in-game room are in working order;
- The candidate should be able to stay calm under pressure, the ability to entertain clients and pay attention to details.
- When there are no games, cleaning and room maintenance are done

There are additional hours available if you are willing to cross train at our sister company right down stairs from Escape the Room Oregon, Oregon Axe! You can pick up additional hours as a bartender or Axepert.
More about the Axepert role:
- Meet and greet clients with a smile, check them in and help sign the waivers;
- Present rules and tips in front of a small crowd and demonstrate how to throw an axe (no experience needed. We will train you to be an expert thrower)
- Coach customers to help them learn how to stick an axe
- Guide customers through a series of axe throwing games, keeping score, and keep the fun going to ensure that each group has an "Axe-cellent" time.
- Take reservations, process payments, and take customer photos.
- The candidate should be able to stay calm under pressure, ability to entertain clients and pay attention to details. Safety is our number one concern.
- When there are no games light dusting and cleaning or replacing targets. Knowledge of hand tools is a must.
