Requirements:

Comply with all safety guidelines and attend weekly tool talks
-
Help Plumber with layout and establish elevations
-
Help install hangers, hook-up equipment, copper, PVC and cast iron
-
Assist with setting drains, carriers and fixtures
-
May disassemble and remove damaged or work pipes
-
Cut pipes using hacksaw, pipe cutters, cutting torch or pipe cutting machine
-
Locate and mark position of plumbing connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors, using ruler spirit levels and plumb bob
-
Cut and thread pipes using threading machine or by hand
-
Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe fittings by using hand tools and power tools
-
Load, transport, unload and furnish experienced trade worker with materials, tools, equipment and supplies

Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary
-
May erect scaffolding or move and reposition scissor lift
-
May assist in lifting, positioning and securing of materials during installation
-
May perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment
-
Conduct non-installation work in support of the Fabrication Shop and Service Departments, as assigned
-
Perform related duties as directed by the applicable CES Job Foreman and/or Construction Manager

Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as needed
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Successful completion of Plumbing Industry Professional Education (P.I.P.E.) Apprentice program, preferred but not required

Attend CES training classes scheduled for Pipe/Plumbing Mechanics (all levels), which is conducted through the CES Service Department

Must be able to climb and balance on ladders, stand/ or sit for long periods at a time, must not have fear of heights, among others

Valid Florida driver's license

Strong communication skills and able to follow instructions

Knowledge of the proper use of safety equipment
