Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash and credit payments with precision
- Upsell menu items, including wines and cocktails, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, bar area, and service stations in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Extensive experience with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and other restaurant technology platforms
- Proven ability in food handling, beverage service, and cocktail preparation within a fine dining or casual setting
- Strong knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, and drink recipes to confidently recommend pairings and upsell items
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and creating welcoming atmospheres
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining high service standards
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Experience in food industry roles such as host/hostess, busser, cashier or server with a focus on hospitality excellence
