Rich Tree Service is looking for an experienced mechanic that can service/maintain our fleet of over 300+ pieces of vehicles and equipment. As a multi-company operation, we run all year round, offering a variety of services to our customers involving tree work, landscaping, mulching, crane operations, landscaping material supply, and much more. Having our fleet in ready and working order is a crucial part in our ability to carry out the services we offer to our customers. Our hours of the mechanic shop typically run from Monday-Saturday with flexible part-time/full-time scheduled hours between the times of 6 am-5 pm, however, full-time may be subject to change based on business needs(i.e emergency repairs, later end times due to busy seasons). Some skillsets/Responsibilities of the mechanic:
- Basic/Preventative Maintenance
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Performing a Multi-Point Lookover
- Ability to Analyze/Understand the Inner Workings and Operation of different types of Machines
- Air Brakes
- Gas/Diesel Engine/Transmission Diagnosis & Repair
- Electrical Diagnosis & Repair
- Welding (Preferred but not Required)
- Hydraulic Systems Troubleshooting & Repair
- Drivetrain Familiarity
- Suspension work
- Steering Repair

- Ability to Assist in the Research for Parts
Other Responsibilities of the Mechanic may include:

Bilingual is a plus, but not required. Having CDL from the candidate is also a plus but not required however a clean driving record is a must. We ask that Candidates have a reliable form of transportation to work and can show up at the time they are scheduled to be at work. One of the crucial parts of the role of the mechanic is to oversee/assist the crews/operators in their morning pre-checks to ensure a smooth and efficient morning start-up of our operations.
