About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to ensure the optimal functionality of our facility's equipment and systems. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in troubleshooting and repair to maintain a safe and efficient operational environment. Your proficiency in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems will be crucial to our success.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, fixtures, and conveyor systems to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and optimize industrial control systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Complete detailed reports of all repairs, documenting parts and materials used for accurate record-keeping.
- Adhere to plant safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and safe machine operation, to maintain a secure work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to execute repairs efficiently and safely, contributing to a positive team dynamic.
- Ensure consistent equipment and facility uptime through regular and predictable attendance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance-related field or similar environment.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and resolve issues across various departments.
- Familiarity with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Competent in using shop equipment, such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinders, and various power tools.
- Must possess own toolbox and basic tools.
- 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced PLC troubleshooting skills.
- Expertise in troubleshooting industrial automation equipment.
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as Allen Bradley and Schneider Electric.
- In-depth knowledge of conveyor systems.
