Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Local Class A CDL Driver with Hazmat Endorsement and become a vital part of our logistics operation! You’ll be responsible for transporting hazardous materials while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
Duties
- Transport Fuel (hazmat) using proper handling procedures, including tankers, following all hazardous materials regulations.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and local deliveries.
- Pump fuel into various pieces of equipment and tanks.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving on route driving schedules.
- Strong knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures, manual handling techniques, and logistics cargo handling.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for route planning and real-time adjustments.
- Understanding of hazardous materials regulations (hazmat) and safe handling practices for dangerous goods.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record;
- Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards governing commercial trucking operations.
