Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Staff to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a vital caregiver, providing personalized assistance and support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, mental illness, dementia, or other health conditions. Your primary goal will be to empower individuals to live as independently as possible while ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Duties
- Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans and medical guidelines.
- Support individuals with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining proper nutrition while adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Implement strategies and assist in developing individualized care plans tailored to each person's unique needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for privacy.
- Engage individuals in social activities and therapeutic programs designed to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with housekeeping tasks, including cleaning individuals' areas to uphold sanitation standards.
- Support individuals during outings or appointments by providing safe transportation and driving when required.
Requirements
- Prior experience in 245D group home environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities or autism.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Strong communication skills coupled with conflict management abilities for positive interactions with individuals and team members.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties.

Pay: $11.47 - $19.00 per hour
