About the Position
Westmaas Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team.
We are looking for a strong, experienced PM who can take ownership of commercial electrical projects from project turnover through final completion. This position is responsible for project financial performance, labor management, scheduling, purchasing, change orders, billing, customer relationships, and coordination with our field teams.
This is an opportunity for an experienced electrical construction professional who wants to be part of an established electrical contractor and have a meaningful role in the continued growth of the company.
Responsibilities
- Manage commercial electrical projects from turnover through closeout.
- Review estimates, contracts, drawings, specifications, and project scope.
- Manage project budgets and monitor profitability.
- Track labor hours and productivity against project estimates.
- Maintain accurate cost-to-complete forecasts.
- Coordinate manpower requirements with field leadership.
- Work closely with project foremen to maintain schedules and productivity.
- Manage purchasing of major materials and equipment.
- Monitor long-lead equipment and material deliveries.
- Identify, price, submit, and track change orders.
- Prepare and manage project billings.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and correspondence.
- Attend project meetings and maintain strong communication with general contractors, owners, engineers, vendors, and field personnel.
- Identify project problems early and develop solutions before they negatively impact schedule or profitability.
- Manage project closeout, including punch lists, as-builts, O&M documentation, final change orders, and final billing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of electrical construction experience preferred.
- Electrical Project Management experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
- Strong understanding of electrical labor productivity and project cost management.
- Experience with project budgeting, purchasing, billing, change orders, and forecasting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Comfortable working directly with field electricians, foremen, general contractors, owners, engineers, and vendors.
- Strong computer and project-management software skills.

Compensation & Benefits
- $100,000–$135,000+ annual salary, based on experience
