SUMMARY
Performs standard packing operations to fill, mark, label, band, tie, pack, and/or wrap containers with products and materials. Tallies, weighs, transports, stacks, and arranges products and packed containers. May obtain and sort items to be packaged and replenish packaging supplies.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use scales
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Able to stand for 8-10 hours per shift
- Use of Vantage
- Ability to make boxes
- Basic data entry skills
- Safety minded at all times
- Basic reading and math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Get list of jobs from supervisor
- Gather basket or container of parts for packing
- Get boxes from QC with green “okay to pack” sheets’
- Put boxes together
- Pack parts in boxes
- Visual inspection of parts while packing
- Print inventory labels
- Put labels on boxes for shipment
- Look for burrs, defects, plating defects on parts
- Put boxes on skids
- Move skids into approved area
- Enter counts into Vantage
- Clean work area
- All other duties as assigned
