Detailed Job description:
Senior Technical Support
Serve as a senior technical resource for Global Lab operations.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior lab technicians.
Lead and support infrastructure deployment, upgrade, and refresh projects.
Identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Collaborate with team members to maintain service quality and lab availability.
Lab Operations & Customer Support
Manage and prioritize lab support requests and service tickets.
Coordinate lab resources to support Engineering, TAC, customer demonstrations, proof-of-concept environments, and testing activities.
Provide timely and professional support to internal and external customers.
Partner with Engineering, Technical Support, Product Management, and IT teams to ensure successful execution of lab initiatives.
Infrastructure & Data Center Operations
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers.
Support enterprise network switches, routers, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, access points, and wireless controllers.
Support storage and backup systems, terminal servers, remote access solutions, and intelligent Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
Perform rack-and-stack installations, structured cabling, equipment commissioning, and hardware replacements.
Coordinate maintenance activities, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure upgrades.
Maintain operational readiness and availability of lab resources.
Virtualization & Cloud Services
Deploy, administer, and maintain virtual infrastructure platforms including VMware ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V, or equivalent technologies.
Provision and manage virtual machines and associated resources.
Support cloud-hosted lab services and remote-access environments.
Monitor infrastructure performance, utilization, and capacity.
Inventory & Asset Management
Maintain accurate inventory records for lab and data center assets.
Track hardware utilization and support capacity planning efforts.
Coordinate receiving, staging, deployment, relocation, and retirement of equipment.
Assist with equipment audits and asset lifecycle management.
Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution
Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, networking, and infrastructure issues.
Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
Escalate and coordinate issue resolution with appropriate internal teams when necessary.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of server hardware and operating systems.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
Experience supporting enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, access points, and wireless controllers.
Experience supporting VMware ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V, or equivalent virtualization platforms.
Experience with storage and backup technologies.
Experience with traffic generators, packet capture tools, and network testing equipment.
Experience with terminal servers and remote power management solutions.
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with data center cabling standards, rack infrastructure, and hardware deployment best practices.
Experience using standard administrative and management tools for Windows, Linux, virtualization, networking, and data center infrastructure.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
5-8 years of experience supporting enterprise lab, data center, networking, or infrastructure environments.
Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
VMware, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, Azure, or equivalent industry certifications.
Experience supporting customer-facing lab environments.
Experience supporting enterprise networking and wireless technologies.
Experience with virtualization platforms, infrastructure monitoring, and capacity planning.
Pay: $25.31 - $28.31 per hour
