Join us as a Paralegal, where you’ll play a key role in supporting our legal and compliance efforts, optimizing processes, and ensuring our team is equipped to drive impactful results in the community.
Your Impact:
- Assist with the review, negotiation and drafting of a variety of contracts and other agreements including purchase and sale agreements, loan and grant documents, MOUs, CCRs, condominium declarations, homeowner association documentation, development agreements, and subcontracts and help manage the contract management function, including ensuring that contract processes are up to date.
- Conduct basic title and survey review and other due diligence support for the legal department and other departments/teams as necessary.
- Assist on and eventually manage property acquisitions, loan closings, and residential home sales including multiple funding sources and regulatory agreements.
- Prepare documentation for and form single purpose entities and homeowner associations under the supervision of General Counsel.
- Support homeowner services and construction as needed including review and response to post sale homeowner requests.
- Assist with drafting, implementing foundational policies; assist with template development, drafting and preparing forms, letters, and other legal documents.
- In collaboration with the Real Estate Development team, review grant applications, agreements, and reports; advise staff on submissions and legal requirements.
- Review and contribute to staff-friendly policies, procedures, and systems around a variety of legal compliance issues.
- Collaborate with other departments on organization-wide projects.
- Assist with the legal aspects of our organization structure, board resolutions, legal filings, developing, updating, and maintaining systems for meeting nonprofit governance and compliance requirements. Work closely with the Finance Department with requested information as necessary for annual report and business license filings in certain jurisdictions.
- Document and obtain new licenses and maintain licensing requirements at the state, county, and city levels.
- Organize and maintain documents in paper and/or electronic filing systems.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years’ experience as a paralegal at a law firm and/or in-house.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams.

Proven ability to manage multiple, and at times, conflicting priorities – organizing work and time efficiently to produce high quality results quickly and on time.

Critical thinking, creative problem solving, strong accuracy and attention to detail.

Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.

Proficient and experienced with MS Office, particularly Teams, Word, and Outlook.

Familiarity with utilizing AI tools to support drafting, research, and process efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with commercial and/or residential (single-family or multifamily) construction, real estate finance, and condominium, ground lease, and/or shared equity ownership structures.
