Position Overview:
The Lawn Maintenance Foreman will lead and work alongside a maintenance crew of 2 to 3 people to ensure that everyone is working safely, skillfully and efficiently. The foreman must be proficient in performing high quality maintenance, time management, as well as able to use all equipment and machinery needed to produce a high-quality maintenance job.
Main Responsibilities:
· Maintain and care for outdoor landscapes, including, but not limited to: maintain plants and other beds, mowing, weed trimming, weed removal by hand, edging, blowing, spraying, pruning, debris removal and initial cleaning.
· Palm pruning.
· Installation of pine straw.
· Lead a lawn maintenance team in performing daily tasks.
· Communicate, train and mentor members of the lawn maintenance team.
· Maintain a professional, respectful and responsive demeanor with customers, vendors and crew / staff members.
· Effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with customers, crew members and office staff.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a safe working environment for all customers and crew members while preparing for and working in the field.
· Utilize your knowledge of leadership skills, as well as, landscape and lawn maintenance equipment.
· Ensure that all equipment is operated safely and properly. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, trucks, trailers, stand and sit-down mowers, weed trimmers, edgers, blowers, etc.
· Supervise job sites and crew to ensure that the work performed is completed in accordance with CoastView’s high quality standards by performing a final inspection.
· Complete and turn in all necessary documentation.
· Communicate with upper management regarding supplies and tools needed, broken equipment, and/or any concerns with properties and/or team members.
· Ensure that end of day clean up is assigned and completed for all job sites, trucks, trailers, and equipment.
· Conditions may vary depending upon the time of year. The foreman will work in and manage projects outdoors, through all seasons. This is physically demanding, outdoor work.

Qualifications:
· 3-5 years proven leadership experience running a crew in landscape and lawn maintenance is a must.
· Experience operating and maintaining lawn equipment.
· Ability to lift, pull and push up to 50 – 80 pounds, carry materials, bend, twist, kneel, climb and balance.
· Self-motivated and ability to work and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
· Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
· Ability to work 35 – 50 hours per week and some weekends, as needed.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving report.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
