Responsibilities
- Lead group fitness classes in Aqua Fit, Silver Sneakers, and other water-based exercise programs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, ensuring participants understand movements and safety protocols
- Design and adapt class routines to accommodate varying fitness levels, ages, and special needs
- Monitor participant safety at all times, providing guidance on body mechanics and biomechanics to prevent injury
- Incorporate diverse training styles such as Pilates, Yoga, CrossFit, or Dancing to keep classes engaging and effective
- Communicate clearly with clients about program benefits, progress tracking, and personalized coaching tips
- Maintain equipment safety standards through manual handling procedures and regular inspections
Qualifications
- Proven experience in group fitness instruction with certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation
- Certifications or training in Aqua Fit, Silver Sneakers, Yoga, Pilates, or similar disciplines preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics relevant to water-based exercises
- Demonstrated ability to motivate clients through coaching techniques and motivational fitness strategies
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and program promotion
- Physical fitness training experience including heavy lifting and manual handling skills necessary for equipment setup and class management
- Prior experience working in health clubs or fitness industry environments is highly desirable
