POSITION OVERVIEW
DiningOut is growing fast. We're expanding to 15+ major culinary festivals across the U.S., and we need a Sponsorship & Sales Assistant who is ready to jump in, hustle hard, and grow with us. This is an entry-level sales role with serious growth potential. This position sits at the center of our sponsorship engine. You'll own the CRM, build the prospect lists we sell from, draft proposals, sit in on partner calls, and keep logistics moving — all while helping us land national and local partnerships.
This isn't a role for someone waiting around to be told what to do. You'll need to be proactive, detail-oriented, bold, creative, and ready to learn everything about our business. If you want to break into sales, event sponsorships, brand partnerships, and experiential marketing, this is your shot.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Support & Sponsorship Development
- Research and compile lists of potential beverage distributors, automotive dealerships, and other brand sponsors in current and emerging markets (Denver, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Atlanta, NYC, San Diego, and Northern California).
- Assist with outreach, scheduling, sponsor calls, logistics, and preparing proposals — including drafting sponsor-facing copy that matches our brand voice.
- Support the Sales department with day-to-day organization and follow-ups, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Track and manage sponsor contacts, communications, and deals in our CRM.
Program Development & Growth
- Work with the team to develop innovative sponsorship programs and upsell opportunities tied to national campaigns.
- Contribute fresh ideas for activations that go beyond the standard 10x10 tent.
- Assist in creating marketing and sales materials, media guides, and recap reports.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
Client Services & Event Support
- Coordinate between sponsors and Client Services to ensure smooth activation and on-time fulfillment.
- Provide on-site support at events, including sponsor load-in/out, booth preparation, credentialing, and client support.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Our CRM is clean, organized, and actively driving sales.
- Sponsors feel supported from initial outreach through post-event wrap-up.
- Sponsor contacts and new market pipelines grow steadily.
- You're the go-to coordinator who makes both Sales and Client Services run smoothly.
- You take initiative, solve problems, and contribute ideas that improve our sponsor programs.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong organizational and communication skills — you're focused on details but also great with people.
- Persistent but relationship-oriented — you push for the close without burning bridges.
- Strong writing ability — you'll draft outreach emails, proposal copy, and other sponsor-facing materials in our brand voice.
- Comfortable with tech — interested in learning our existing tools (CRM, AI, design software) and always looking for new ways to work smarter.
- High energy and work ethic — you thrive in fast-paced, all-hands-on-deck environments.
- Creativity — you think about how a brand could show up big at our events, not just fit into a booth.
- Initiative — if you're waiting to be told what to do, this isn't the role for you.
- Professional curiosity — in sales, events, marketing, or beverage/spirits brands. Experience is a plus, not a requirement.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Starting salary: $60,000 annual base.
- Health benefits: up to 50% employer coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance, depending on plan choice.
- Paid time off and holidays provided in accordance with company policy.
- Growth: this role is designed to evolve with the company over the coming years, with regular reviews of your responsibilities.
The first 90 days are a probationary period.
