Job Overview
Delaware Valley Shippers is looking for a dependable and motivated Dispatch Assistant to join our transportation team. This position combines office work with hands-on involvement in the warehouse and daily operations environment. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning and growing within the trucking and logistics industry.
Responsibilities
- Enter loads into the system
- Perform driver check calls and shipment updates
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments
- Assist with warehouse customer work orders
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and warehouse staff
Qualifications
- Organized, dependable, and willing to learn
- Good communication and basic computer skills
- Comfortable working in both office and warehouse settings
- Logistics experience is a plus, but not required
