Housekeeper
Purpose: Responsible for housekeeping of assigned wing rooms, common areas, and assisting the needs of the residents.
Essential Functions- Job Duties: The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the following duties:

Acts in an ethical, respectful, responsive, reliable, authentic, innovative, and empathetic manner.

Follow cleaning schedule established by the Housekeeping Director.

Clean assigned areas, furnishings, fixtures, movable and stationary furniture.

Empty trash bins and clean bathroom showers, sinks, toilets.
-
Vacuuming carpets in rooms, common areas, and hallways.

Disinfect floors, walls, bathrooms, wash windows and furniture.

Replenish bathroom supplies and paper supplies for residents and public bathrooms.

Dusting and sanitizing surfaces such as baseboards, stairways, elevators, entrances and exits.

Reporting supply and equipment needs to the Housekeeping Director.

Stripping beds and reapplying resident’s sheets to bed

Laundry for the bed sheets and resident’s clothes.

Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education & Knowledge Requirements- Specific education, certification, and licensure:

High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred
-
Individuals in this position must have obtained age eighteen (18) prior to first day of employment or transfer into position

Essential Job-Related Experience/Abilities

Ability to complete the necessary physical movements to move residents by wheelchair

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
-
Ability to walk continuously, bend frequently, twist body, sit occasionally, and push and pull carts.

Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally (1-33% of workday)

Ability to complete and maintain documentation regarding a resident’s status
Exposure to hazardous Conditions:

Exposure to blood and body fluids is continuos

Exposure to cleaning chemicals is occasional
