We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, Rare Business Unit to support new account implementations and process improvement initiatives across Operations, IT, Client Services & Partnerships, and other cross-functional teams.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager, Rare Business Unit will lead and coordinate account implementations, process improvement projects, and change initiatives from planning through post-launch evaluation and closure.
This role requires strong project management, organization, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple departments, managing competing priorities, gathering business requirements, and keeping projects on track against established scope, timeline, cost, and quality expectations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead new account implementations and process improvement projects from initiation through completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, stakeholders, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed project and implementation plans.
- Lead internal and external kickoff meetings, project meetings, and requirements-gathering sessions.
- Track deadlines, deliverables, risks, and project progress.
- Provide clear and consistent project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
- Partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, IT, Operations, Sales, and other teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
- Create process flows, specifications, diagrams, and other project documentation as needed.
- Support user acceptance testing and communicate findings to applicable teams.
- Measure project and implementation performance following launch and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support continuous process improvement and change initiatives across the Rare Business Unit.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal partners and external clients.
- Help establish and maintain consistent project management and implementation processes.
- Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Associate degree or at least 2 years of related college coursework required; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of related experience in project coordination, project management, quality, process improvement, implementation, or a similar field.
- Healthcare or pharmacy-related experience preferred.
- Project management certification such as PMP, CAPM, CSM, PMI-ACP, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
- Candidates without a current certification must be willing to obtain an applicable certification within 12 months of entering the role.
- Strong experience managing cross-functional projects and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with business concepts such as KPIs, ROI, contracts, RFPs, strategic goals, and goal setting.

Pay: $74,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
