Specialized Recruiting Group Northland & Downtown KC is currently seeking to fill a Supply Chain Manager position in North KC! his role is responsible for purchasing, demand planning, inventory management, supplier relationships, production coordination, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives that ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Basic Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and production components.
- Develop purchasing plans that support production schedules and customer demand.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
- Monitor supplier performance, pricing, lead times, and product quality
- Coordinate production schedules with contract manufacturers, blending partners, packaging suppliers, and other vendors.
- Ensure materials are available to support uninterrupted production and on-time customer deliveries.
- Monitor production timelines and proactively resolve supply chain issues that could impact operations.
- Support new product launches by coordinating sourcing, materials, packaging, and production readiness.
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to develop demand forecasts.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend purchasing adjustments based on sales forecasts and production requirements.
- Develop reports and analyze supply chain data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support compliance with applicable manufacturing and regulatory requirements.
- Track KPIs related to supplier performance, inventory, purchasing, and production.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Product Development to align supply chain activities with company objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Three to seven years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, procurement, production planning, inventory management, or operations.
- Experience working within manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), food production, pet products, or related industries preferred.
