Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extension applications with precision and artistry
- Apply color theory principles to help clients select the perfect shades and designs that complement their style
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation, disinfection procedures, and hygiene standards to ensure client safety
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, provide recommendations, and ensure a satisfying experience
- Educate clients on nail care routines, maintenance tips, and retail products to enhance their at-home beauty regimen
- Upsell retail products such as nail care items, lotions, and polishes to boost sales and client satisfaction
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with all health regulations while managing appointment schedules efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a Nail Technician or similar role with knowledge of manicure, pedicure, gel nails, acrylics, and nail extensions
- Strong understanding of color theory and nail art techniques to create customized designs
- Knowledge of salon safety protocols including sanitation practices and disinfection procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients
- Certification or licensing in cosmetology or esthetician practices required where applicable
- Familiarity with retail math for upselling products effectively and ethically
- Additional skills such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling or laser treatments are a plus but not mandatory
