Job Summary:
The Endoscopy Technician assists the Endoscopy team during procedures by anticipating the required supplies and instruments, ensuring equipment readiness, and providing support for pre-procedure, intra-procedure and post-procedure phases. The Endoscopy Technician plays a key role in maintaining infection control standards and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient environment.
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per shift)

Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed

Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching to handle equipment and assist patients

For items exceeding 50 pounds, team lifting or mechanical assistance must be used in accordance with safety guidelines. Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making

High level verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-stress situations.

Job Qualifications:

1 year of healthcare experience preferred

High school graduate or GED equivalent

Understanding of aseptic technique principles and infection control practices

Current BLS, or completed within 90 days of hire

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Basic computer proficiency
