Facilities Maintenance - HVAC
This position performs skilled HVAC routine preventative and maintenance duties, in addition to routine preventative and general maintenance, inspection and repair of the exhibit areas, building, grounds, and building equipment for the Historic Tours of America’s Key West operations. You are to ensure that the image of our company is reflected in the appearance and condition of our equipment and facilities; while maintaining the company’s high standards of safety and cleanliness.

Requirements:
Essential Functions
-
Perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, inspections, and installations/repairs to building, grounds, and building equipment, so businesses continues to run smoothly and that the physical condition does not deteriorate. This includes painting buildings and equipment. Notify the Manager concerning the need for major repairs.

Inspect, repair, modify, and install HVAC equipment, including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, receivers, and condensers.

Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units and equipment and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Repair and replace defective parts in units and equipment and their controls, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, log switches, damper motors, louvers, relays, filters, controls, belts, compressors, pressure controls, and safety valves.
- Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing and repair pipes and tubing as necessary; test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

High degrees of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team within the scope of established rules and regulations.

Standard knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration systems, and calibrate systems.
- Working knowledge of tools and equipment used in HVAC systems, general maintenance, and construction.
- Ability to apply basic knowledge in multiple areas of carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems, building maintenance, groundskeeping, and equipment repair.
- Knowledge of welding and soldering techniques.
Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred
-
1-3 years of general maintenance preferred.

1-3 years of HVAC maintenance.
Other Requirements

Must pass pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing

Valid FL Driver's License with acceptable driving record for the past three years.
