Join a hospital that’s growing fast, pushing standards higher, and having fun while we do it.
Who We Are
We’re a forward-thinking, team-driven 24/7 specialty hospital dedicated to elevating every part of the client and patient experience. Compassion, collaboration, and high-level medicine are at the core of everything we do.
Our environment includes:
- A brand-new 15,000 sq ft facility featuring 5 surgical suites, 12 treatment tables, 12 exam rooms, a lecture hall, advanced diagnostics, and more
- Growth opportunities across all specialties; ECC, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and beyond
- Doggie daycare on-site (yes, you can bring your pet to work!)
- A fun, upbeat culture with year-round team events and celebrations
- Medical, dental, vision, wellness support, and other competitive benefits
- A truly collaborative team, you’ll work alongside multiple specialists and experienced ER DVMs
- A hospital that invests heavily in training, education, and developing leadership talent
About the Role
We are seeking a confident, emotionally intelligent ECC Manager to lead our Emergency & Critical Care department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced ER environment, enjoys mentoring and developing teams, and is passionate about creating structure, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
You’ll partner closely with hospital leadership, ER DVMs, and specialty teams to support both clinical excellence and team well-being.
The Ideal Candidate
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience in veterinary ECC or ER
- Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
- A proactive, solutions-oriented leadership style
- Ability to assess workflows and drive efficiency improvements
- Comfort supporting HR-adjacent responsibilities (coaching conversations, documentation, performance support)
- Passion for building a positive, supportive, and accountable culture
- RVT required; VTS (ECC) strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training ECC team members
- Develop, implement, and maintain training and competency programs
- Coach and support staff with empathy, clarity, and accountability
- Address concerns promptly to maintain a safe, respectful, drama-free work environment
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide actionable feedback
- Create and manage staff schedules that balance patient care and team wellness
- Monitor departmental metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Step in clinically as needed to support patient care and model teamwork
- Assist with equipment oversight, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Support Cubex management, inventory tracking, and restocking workflows
- Collaborate on department goals and hospital-wide initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Why This Role Is Different
This is not a “put out fires all day” management role. You’ll be empowered to:
- Build structure instead of constantly reacting
- Develop people, not just schedules
- Influence hospital growth and ECC standards
- Be supported by leadership that values communication, transparency, and trust
If you’re an ECC leader ready to grow with a hospital that truly invests in its people and medicine, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today.
