Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to champion workplace safety and environmental compliance across our manufacturing facilities. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and monitor safety protocols that ensure a secure, healthy, and compliant work environment. Your expertise will help prevent accidents, minimize hazards, and promote a culture of safety excellence. Responsibilities
Safety Coordination
– Lead safety efforts for specific trades or areas of the project.
– Understand & implement the Energy Control Plan (ECP).
– Participate in Event investigations & learn the RCA process.
– Participate in OSHA Partnership, if opportunity exists.
– Review, identify and assist with mitigating (HRA) high risk activities.
– Assist in the development of JHAs for HCC (HRAs) - Include in schedule.
- Enhance knowledge of schedule.
Professional Skills
– Obtain an OSHA 510 or STS-C.
– Become a competent person with confined space & excavations.
– Become a competent person with scaffolding & fall protection.
– Become a competent person with forklifts.
- Complete the HCC NFPA 70E training.
Risk Management
– Create one-hour reports.
– Participate in the CCIP/OCIP programs if opportunity exists.
- Proactively identify & communicate project issues to team.
Meetings
– Participate in all project Safety related meetings.
– Conduct safety meetings when possible.
- Conduct job site safety orientations.
Technology
– Complete understanding of Hammertech & its applications.
– Complete understanding of Helix & its applications.
- Provide training in Hammertech & Helix.
