Do you have mechanical aptitude and like to work with your hands? Do you like the challenge of learning new things? Engine Power, Inc. is looking for a full-time Assembly Technician.
Come and work alongside team members who enjoy working together on a variety of assembly orders. Main duties include:
· Accurately and efficiently assemble components (sub-assemblies) that form the foundation and enclosures of our customized engines.
· Utilize hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments (calipers, torque wrenches), and fixtures to position, align, and fasten components.
· Assemble components onto engines in accordance with production work orders
· Assist with the following processes: staging material, inspection and maintenance of equipment; measuring and testing equipment
· May be asked to assist with assembly training
· Perform special projects as required
· Participation in quality and problem-solving team efforts
· Responsible for safety and housekeeping in work area
· Light facility maintenance and landscaping, including snow removal
Other desired skills required:
- Regular and reliable attendance
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a similar production environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity preferred
- Ability to read and understand specifications found in routings and shop manuals
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work independently as well as in a group environment
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools and requirement for supplying own basic tools after 60 days (list provided)
