Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Outpatient Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our vibrant healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct detailed patient assessments, including vital signs, medical histories, and physical examinations across diverse age groups, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses utilizing evidence-based protocols, including internal medicine conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and respiratory issues.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records management.
- Coordinate patient care through referrals to specialists, hospitalizations when necessary, or outpatient therapies like dialysis or hospice services.
- Engage in health coaching, patient education, and preventive screenings to promote wellness and disease management.
Skills
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR system eClinicalworks for efficient documentation and patient tracking.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and clinical research methodologies.
- Experience with diverse clinical procedures including catheterization, spinal tap, dermal fillers, esthetic laser treatments, and gastroscopy.
- Skilled in triage assessment for urgent issues across outpatient settings; capable of managing acute pain or infectious disease care.
- Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes; understanding of ICD-10 coding standards for accurate diagnosis documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
- Experience working with special populations such as pediatric patients, seniors in memory or assisted living care, or individuals with developmental disabilities.

Pay: $67.00 - $75.00 per hour
