I'm Chuck Babin. I own Home Helpers Home Care of Bend, and I'm hiring caregivers in Madras and across Central Oregon.
We're new and we're small. That's the pitch. There's no regional manager and no corporate call center. It's me and Drew, our administrator. I'll do your interview myself, and when your schedule breaks at 6am you'll be calling a person who knows your name.

You don't need experience. If you've cared for a parent or a grandparent, or you've never done this and want to, we'll train you and pay you for every hour of it.
What you'd do
Help people stay in their own homes. Bathing, dressing, getting around safely. Meals, laundry, light housekeeping. Errands and rides to appointments. Medication reminders. And company, which matters more than the list makes it sound.
We're licensed by Oregon as a Limited in-home care agency, so caregivers here don't give medications or do nursing tasks. If you want clinical work, this isn't it.
What we pay
$19.50 to $23.00 an hour, based on what you bring. Paid orientation and paid training from day one. Mileage between clients at the full IRS rate, and we pay your drive time between clients too. Access your earned pay before payday. Retirement savings plan. Scrubs on us.
What we need
18 or older. A driver's license, a reliable car, and current auto insurance. Able to communicate clearly with clients and our office. Willing to pass a criminal records check. Living within our Central Oregon service area.

Where you'd work
This posting is for caregivers in and around Madras. We also serve Bend, Redmond, Sisters, Prineville, La Pine and Tumalo. Tell us which towns work for you and we'll schedule you close to home.
Schedule
You tell us when you can work and we build around it. Part-time, full-time, weekends, evenings. We expect to need weekday evening coverage, roughly three hours a night, so say so if that fits you.
This position involves direct contact with in-home care clients. Oregon law (ORS 443.004, OAR 333-536-0093) requires a criminal records check and fitness determination before hire and every three years after. Certain convictions listed in ORS 443.004(3) disqualify a candidate. We reserve the right to require drug testing.
