American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Technologist with 3+ years of OB/GYN or vascular ultrasound experience and ARDMS registration for a 13-week assignment in an OB Ultrasound unit.

OB Ultrasound unit within an academic medical center setting
-
Maternal-fetal patient population with complex obstetric and gynecological cases
-
Procedures include detailed anatomical evaluation, fetal echocardiography, growth assessments, biophysical profiles, maternal/fetal Doppler, amniotic fluid assessments, needle procedure guidance, transvaginal cervical assessment, and advanced 3D/4D diagnostic techniques

4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday

No on-call, weekend, or holiday coverage required

Minimum of 3 years of experience performing complex OB/GYN or vascular ultrasound scans
-
Completion of a 12-month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent certificate program

Current BLS (AHA) certification
-
ARDMS registration in OB and OB/GYN required

Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification required

License required if applicable

Two professional references required for consideration

Assists the radiologist with invasive diagnostic techniques specialized to maternal-fetal ultrasound procedures

Analyzes sonography findings in real time to ensure comprehensive exam completion and sufficient diagnostic data for the interpreting physician

Advises the radiologist and/or referring OB provider of examination results and provides preliminary diagnostic information

Provides standardization training and education to residents on maternal-fetal ultrasound exams

Consults with patients prior to procedures to evaluate contraindications, including medications, inadequate preparation, or patient tolerance concerns

Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification is preferred but listed as required per schedule notes — candidates with this certification are strongly encouraged to apply
