Procom is a dynamic technology and services company headquartered in Schaumburg, IL. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to take ownership of core financial functions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Schedule: Hybrid
Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per year, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable (AP) including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations
- Prepare and file multi-state sales tax returns accurately and on time
- Prepare and submit union reporting in compliance with labor agreements and regulatory requirements
- Assist in bank reconciliations
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks and ensure data integrity
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- 4+ years of accounting experience in a services or technology company
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
- Experience with payroll, financial reporting, and sales tax compliance
- Experience with union reporting is a strong plus
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
