We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing costs, and supporting the successful planning and execution of construction projects. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality results while maintaining budget integrity and fostering strong client relationships. We work in heavy civil municipal projects, private development and commercial.
- Develop comprehensive construction estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using tools like Bluebeam and B2W.
- Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analyses to determine accurate pricing for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
- Prepare bid proposals that clearly outline scope of work, cost breakdowns, and project timelines.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgets via cost control strategies.
- Review contracts and scope of work documents to ensure clarity and alignment with project goals.
- Support project management teams by providing accurate estimates that facilitate scheduling, resource allocation, and overall construction management. Skills
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing and manage subcontractor relationships effectively.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, site operations, and project management principles.
- Experience with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and contract review.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Construction site experience is a plus to better understand on-the-ground realities influencing estimates. Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
