American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract at a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital in North Carolina, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Short-term acute care hospital with 733 staffed beds, operating as a Level III Trauma Center and teaching facility

ICU setting with a patient ratio of 1:2–3
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Every other weekend required
-
Floating within the hospital or to a sister campus may be required based on facility needs
-
No on-call requirements

Charting is done in Epic (experience required)

Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted

Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Must pass an EKG exam — no exceptions

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the main campus to be eligible for this position

First-time travelers are generally not preferred, but may be considered at the manager's discretion based on years of experience

Scrub colors are royal blue and white

Pre-start orientation modules are required (approximately 4–10 hours)

RTO is subject to manager's discretion, with a general maximum of 4 days per contract; all time off requests must be submitted upfront

Only 1 holiday approval can be accommodated per contract

Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must have been gone for at least 1 year before returning
-
This facility has a 2-contract limit for night shift travelers, after which candidates must be away for at least 6 months before returning
