Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report any concerns promptly
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices to promote hygiene and comfort
- Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely and effectively
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and facility policies
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement
- Follow established protocols for emergency situations including CPR or first aid when required
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, social workers, and family members to deliver comprehensive care
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities is highly valued
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality is essential
- Hands-on experience with care plans development and implementation is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for resident transfers or equipment handling
- Previous roles involving hospice care or long-term care environments are a plus
- Strong communication skills and compassionate approach to caregiving are necessary for success
