Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Your expertise will ensure that all products meet safety standards, quality specifications, and project deadlines.
Duties
- Read and interpret detailed weld drawings to determine welding requirements and procedures.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and welding techniques to join metal parts accurately.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, grinders and bandsaws.
- Operate plasma cutters, to prepare materials for welding or fabrication.
- Measure dimensions precisely using calipers, micrometers, and schematics to ensure components fit correctly during assembly or fabrication.
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols while handling steel components.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments as a welder.
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG, welding techniques.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding practices.
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork installation, pipe threading, or structural steel assembly is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other heavy machinery safely when required.
