Job Summary
Our deckhands assist vessel Tankermen and the Captain with vessel operations and loading and discharging heated liquid tank barges in the Corpus Christi Harbor. The deckhand performs housekeeping duties on a vessel including but not limited to sweeping and washing inside and outside the vessel, cooking and cleaning, vessel and barge maintenance, lubricate machinery and equipment, painting vessel and deck, handling lines and tying up the vessel. This is a position which requires living aboard a vessel for an extended period of time in the Corpus Christi, TX area.
Qualifications and Skills
Must hold a TWIC or be able to obtain one within 30 days
Must have reliable means of transportation
Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol test
Must be capable of lifting and moving heavy objects
Ability to pass a physical/drug screen and background check
Deckhand experience is a plus
