We’re Looking For:
A passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide therapy services in a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You’ll work alongside a supportive team of therapists to help children improve their communication skills in a nurturing, medically supportive environment.
Requirements:
✅ Active Florida SLPA License
✅ Experience working with pediatrics
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✅ Ability to collaborate with SLPs, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing speech therapy programs for pediatric patients.
- Support children in developing communication skills through engaging activities and exercises.
- Monitor and document patient progress, providing feedback to the supervising therapist.
- Collaborate with educational staff to assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students, ensuring adherence to medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with children and their families to foster understanding and cooperation.
