Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and guiding them to their tables or designated areas
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating arrangements
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the establishment and reservation details
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand, including menus, reservation logs, and guest seating charts
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously
- Uphold food safety standards and hospitality protocols to deliver excellent guest services consistently
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hotel or hospitality settings can be beneficial for guest relations roles
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper phone etiquette is highly valued
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance
