The Manager of Procurement & Sourcing leads all purchasing and carrier‑sourcing activities for a fast‑growing global logistics organization. The role focuses heavily on building and optimizing a high‑performing less‑than‑truckload (LTL)carrier network, negotiating rates, strengthening carrier partnerships, and ensuring pricing strategies support both service quality and cost efficiency. This leader works cross‑functionally with operations, sales, analytics, and customers to shape transportation solutions and guide procurement strategy. The position also manages a team responsible for bids, pricing, and carrier performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrier Network Development — Expand and maintain a reliable carrier base capable of supporting diverse client needs.
- RFP Management — Run bid events, evaluate rates and capacity, and select carriers based on performance and commitments.
- Carrier Onboarding & Compliance — Oversee onboarding, ensure compliance, and maintain strong working relationships.
- Performance Oversight — Track KPIs, prepare reporting for customer/carrier meetings, and lead quarterly business reviews.
- Team Leadership — Hire, coach, and manage procurement specialists and analysts.
- Pricing Strategy — Build tools and models to forecast pricing for new and existing business.
- Technology Evaluation — Act as SME when assessing new tools, systems, or innovations.
What Success Looks Like
- Strong understanding of LTL operations, rate structures, and multimodal logistics.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑moving environment while managing deadlines.
- Skilled communicator with solid analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Comfortable traveling occasionally (about 10%).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
