TRM Innovative Hearth Products is the buyout of several companies that have been merged throughout the years including but not limited to Fireplace Manufacturers Inc., (FMI), and Lennox Industries Hearth Division. The aggregate company included rollups of Marco; Superior Fireplace, which began in the 1930s; stove and insert companies including Country Stoves, established in 1977. FMI, a subsidiary of Desa, rolled up Design Dynamics in vented and vent-free logs in the early 2003 timeframe. Subsequently, the management team from the FMI segment of Desa acquired the assets of their division in 2008. Job Title: RV Technical Services Specialist

The Technicians would be responsible for providing expert guidance on the installation, maintenance, and repair of stoves and fireplaces. This role requires a strong understanding of gas ignition systems, electronic control boards, and complex venting requirements to ensure heating appliances operate safely and efficiently.
Core Responsibilities

Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues for gas (millivolt and electronic ignition), wood (drafting and air intake), and pellet stoves (auger motors, igniters, and sensors) via phone, email, or video tools.

Installation Guidance: Assist field technicians and customers with installation procedures, ensuring compliance with local building codes, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations.

Part Identification: Research and identify specific service parts based on unit model and serial numbers using internal documentation and databases.

Safety & Compliance: Educate users on proper operation and maintenance to help ensure safe use and optimal heating efficiency.
While not required, these qualifications are a definite plus
Experience
Previous experience in technical support, HVAC, plumbing, or hearth service.
Technical Skills
Proficient with gas piping, electrical wiring, venting systems, and reading schematics.
Communication
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible guidance for users. Familiarity with Outlook and MS Office documents.
Tools
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and basic hand/power tools.
