American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry position requiring an active MA RN license and the ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
-
41-bed Medical Telemetry unit (Davenport 7) within a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psych, substance use disorder, GU, and GI cases
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on evenings and nights
-
Day shift rotates between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a; night positions are straight nights
-
Every other weekend (EOW) required

Travelers are required to float to applicable units when needed

Charting system: Epic
-
Skills required include cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, telemetry strip interpretation, TR bands, and hi-flow oxygen

Free on-site parking available

Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted

Current AHA-certified BLS required
-
Current AHA-certified ACLS required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips required

Epic EMR experience

2 professional references required for consideration

Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

13-week contract, 36 hours per week

Care for a diverse medical telemetry patient population including cardiac, respiratory, and behavioral health conditions

Local candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible to apply

All certifications must be AHA-certified only
