Primary Focus:
Construction Laborer/Second Man works on construction projects as part of a team, under general supervision and direction of the Crew Chief by performing physical labor including the following duties. The Laborer must be diligent, responsible, with the ability to learn, be adaptable with good communication.
Position is eligible for overtime & prevailing wage
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Performs hand excavation and experienced with Jack Hammer
- Operates machinery i.e. Backhoe, Bobcat
- Concrete finisher/ Form work/Foundation work A +
- Plumbing and use of small tools
- Light carpentry work
- Able to handle a leadership role when called upon
- Experience in Pump & Tank/Construction industry a plus, but not required
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge in Pipe and Material, able to read blueprints, and accurately operate machinery – i.e. Backhoe’s.
- Basic Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, concrete work and site work.
- Valid driver’s license required, CDL is a plus.
- Ability to perform quality checks on construction equipment.
- Must be willing to travel and possible hotel stays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds'.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
