Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in assigned areas.
- Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure a clean appearance.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling according to facility guidelines.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed, including light repairs and facilities upkeep.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
- Provide support for special events or projects requiring additional cleaning services.
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning techniques is a plus.
- Experience in floor care, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Knowledge of residential painting or porter experience is beneficial.
