We are looking for a hardworking Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to help our culinary team deliver unforgettable dining experiences.
Role Overview
This Dishwasher/Food Prep role supports the kitchen team at a fast-paced Korean Cuisine Seoul restaurant by keeping operations clean, sanitary, and highly organized. Ideal for an energetic, reliable individual, this position involves running the dish station, preparing authentic ingredients, and maintaining our high standards of food safety.
In this role, you will play a vital part in the backbone of our kitchen. Your day-to-day will be split between operating the dish station to ensure sparkling clean cookware and assisting our chefs with foundational food preparation. Responsibilities
Dishwashing & Sanitation
- Manage 3-compartment sinks to wash all pots, pans, utensils, and dishware.
- Ensure a steady supply of clean, sanitized dishware and flatware for front-of-house service.
- Sweep, mop, and maintain clean, dry kitchen floors throughout the shift.
- Empty trash receptacles, break down boxes, and maintain organized waste areas.
Food Preparation Assistance
- Assist with basic Korean culinary prep (e.g., washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients).
- Receive, unpack, and properly store food deliveries
- Help maintain the cleanliness of walk-in coolers, kitchen, and prep stations.
- Assist the head chef/line cooks with closing and cleaning down prep stations at the end of the shift.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous restaurant, catering, or commercial kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right, motivated candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work Environment: Comfortable working in warm, humid kitchen/dishwashing environments.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a proactive approach to kitchen cleanliness.
- Safety: Deep understanding of FDA and local health and food safety standards.
