Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans and support their growth and development. This role is essential in providing high-quality behavioral therapy and ensuring that clients receive the best possible care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress toward goals, ensuring accurate medical documentation.
- Assist in the development of educational materials and strategies to promote skill acquisition for clients.
- Provide direct support to clients, helping them manage behaviors and develop social skills.
- Educate clients and their families about behavior management techniques and strategies for success.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to all ethical guidelines regarding medical records.
- Collaborate with other professionals in special education settings to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral therapy and data collection.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Registered Behavior Technician is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and special education practices.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate clients and families.
- Ability to collect research data accurately and maintain detailed medical documentation.
- Compassionate approach towards working with children, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
