Position Summary
Hurricane Grill & Wings is seeking energetic, dependable, and hardworking Line Cooks to join our fast-paced kitchen team. Our Line Cooks are responsible for preparing high-quality food quickly and consistently while maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, works well under pressure, and takes pride in delivering great food and hospitality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Hurricane Grill & Wings recipes and standards
- Operate fryers, grills, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain ticket times and work efficiently during high-volume shifts
- Ensure all food is prepared with proper portioning, presentation, and quality standards
- Stock and organize station before, during, and after shifts
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
- Assist with food prep, inventory rotation, and receiving deliveries as needed
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Complete opening, closing, and side work duties assigned by management
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Physical Requirements
- Standing for long periods of time
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying
- Ability to work in hot, fast-paced kitchen conditions
- Ability to safely use kitchen tools and equipment
