Duties
- Assist chiropractors with patient assessments, including taking vital signs and gathering medical histories to prepare for treatment sessions
- Support patients during their visits by providing clear instructions on exercises, stretching, and post-treatment care
- Manage patient intake processes using medical software systems to ensure accurate documentation and scheduling
- Help facilitate telehealth consultations by setting up platforms and assisting patients with technical needs
- Provide education on topics such as physiology, anatomy, nutrition, breastfeeding support, postpartum care, labor & delivery, and Reiki services as appropriate
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment environment while adhering to health and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to address questions, explain procedures, and promote ongoing engagement in their health journey
Skills
- Proficiency in medical software for scheduling, documentation, and telehealth platforms
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to chiropractic care, physiology, anatomy, and postpartum health
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse populations including families
- Experience in patient assessment techniques to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Ability to provide breastfeeding support and assist with postpartum care routines
- Familiarity with working with families during labor & delivery or other reproductive health services
- Knowledge of nutrition principles relevant to overall wellness and recovery processes
