BrightMap Education is seeking an experienced FAFSA and Financial Aid professional to lead group workshops for high school students and families. This is a part-time, contract role supporting partner schools through the college financial aid process.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead group workshops on:
- FAFSA completion, corrections, and verification
- CSS Profile guidance and school-specific requirements
- Financial aid timelines, deadlines, and documentation
- Understanding and comparing financial aid award letters
- Financial aid appeals and special circumstances
- Provide clear, accurate guidance to students and families
- Deliver workshops virtually and/or in person (evenings and weekends)
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with FAFSA and CSS Profile
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and institutional financial aid
- Experience presenting to groups of students and parents
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable working with diverse communities
Preferred Experience
- College or university financial aid office experience
- High school or college counseling background
- College access, nonprofit, or advising experience
Compensation
- $100 per hour
- Contract-based, part-time
- Flexible scheduling
