Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Conduct routine custodial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, window washing, and surface sanitizing to uphold high cleanliness standards.
- Execute specialized floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain optimal flooring conditions.
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects that may involve heavy-duty equipment or hazardous materials following safety protocols.
- Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and equipment upkeep to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to create a secure environment for colleagues and visitors alike.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or residential cleaning with a strong understanding of janitorial procedures.
- Skilled in floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing for various flooring types.
- Familiarity with custodial equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and mops.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and effectively in diverse settings.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including minor repairs and painting.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards.
