Operations Supervisor (75% Travel to Seoul, South Korea)
Company: Nventric
Position Type: Full-Time
Location: Based in Los Angeles / Monorvia Area (with 75% Extensive International Travel to Seoul, South Korea)
Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 USD Base (Commensurate with experience)
Position Overview
NVentric is a fast-growing medical device company specializing in premium, lifesaving interventional technologies. We are seeking a highly driven, culturally agile Operations Supervisor to oversee our cleanroom contract manufacturing, commercial device builds, and global supply chain logistics.
Because our primary high-volume contract manufacturing hub is located directly in Seoul, South Korea, this role requires 75% extensive international travel. You will act as our primary on-site operational representative, spending extended, multi-week blocks on the manufacturing floor in Seoul to direct production schedules, audit component inventory, and ensure seamless manufacturing execution.
This is a high-impact position designed for an execution specialist who bridges the gap between US corporate sales forecasts and South Korean cleanroom outputs. You will step in to stabilize cross-border production operations, ensuring that every single device build is highly accurate, cost-effective, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
1. Interventional Product Builds & Cleanroom Scheduling
- Production Oversight: Manage master manufacturing schedules, line balancing, and capacity constraints for complex interventional product builds within cGMP contract manufacturing cleanrooms.
- Forecast Execution: Translate monthly and quarterly global commercial sales forecasts provided by upper management into real-time, daily/weekly cleanroom assembly targets.
- Data & Quality Auditing: Rigorously review and ensure absolute compliance and accuracy for Lot History Records (LHRs), device traveler documents, and batch records to maintain uncompromised regulatory audit-readiness.
2. Aggressive Inventory Coordination & Management
- Supply Chain Pipeline Tracking: Materially own inventory coordination, continuously monitoring pipelines for raw materials, specialized polymer tubing, nitinol components, sub-assemblies, and packaging assets.
- Stock-Out Mitigation: Implement rigorous inventory controls to prevent material discrepancies, component bottlenecks, or warehouse stock-outs, ensuring zero line stoppages.
- Supplier Synchronization: Interface directly with raw material suppliers and international logistics partners to track lead times, freight arrivals, and import clearance timelines into Seoul.
3. Cross-Border Operations & Extended Seoul Deployments
- 75% Travel to Seoul: Travel extensively and maintain an active, on-the-ground presence in Seoul, South Korea, spending multi-week blocks acting as the operational link for the US executive team.
- Operational Bridge: Serve as a critical cross-cultural bridge, stepping in to directly guide and streamline technical communication with the Seoul manufacturing teams and vendor leadership to resolve floor constraints immediately.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3–6 years of operations, production supervision, or manufacturing engineering experience—strictly required to be within a regulated medical device cGMP/ISO 13485 cleanroom environment. (Direct experience overseeing catheter, stent, or complex interventional delivery system builds is heavily weighted).
- Language Skills: Reading, writing, and speaking fluency in Korean is highly preferred to navigate local production documentation, coordinate with floor technicians, and align with local vendor management.
- Travel Mobility: Must possess a valid passport and the absolute lifestyle flexibility to maintain a 75% international travel schedule to Seoul.
- Technical & Inventory Acumen: Deep understanding of Lot History Records (LHRs), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Bill of Materials (BOM) management, and inventory tracking methodologies.
- Software Skills: Strong proficiency with advanced spreadsheet data tracking (Excel/Google Sheets) or equivalent inventory/ERP systems.
