About Sigma
Sigma Accounting & Consulting is a growing accounting and consulting firm based in Pensacola, Florida. We provide full-service support to small businesses across the Gulf Coast — including tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and business advisory. As our client base continues to expand, we're looking to add an experienced accountant to our team.
This is a part-time role to start, with a genuine opportunity to move into a full-time position as the firm continues to grow.
What You'll Do
- Maintain accurate books and records for a portfolio of small business clients
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
- Assist with audit work and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Support tax preparation and payroll processing as needed
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Auditing experience
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks Online experience is a plus)
- A professional, client-focused approach and clear communication skills
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience
- Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
- Growth: Opportunity to transition into a full-time role as the firm grows
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
