We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual with experience in Manufactining based Quality Inspection . This is a hands-on role that reports to Quality management and is responsible for ensuring product quality by conducting and documenting part inspections, implementing necessary change and supporting the Quality Management System (QMS) and customer requirements.

Essential Job Functions include:
Hands-on involvement in all aspects of the inspection process including:
- Review products being manufactured through combined methods including CNC machining, fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly.
- Incoming inspection of raw materials, certifications and products including applicable NC reporting
- Assist with customer-related quality requests, corrective action requests, and in process non-conformities.
- Organizes with production and QA management the daily product-inspection schedule.
- Complete and review all paperwork pertaining to products shipped to customers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- High daily use of inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, portable CMM, and all other machining and fabricating related inspection tools to validate manufactured products.
- Assist as required for all Quality Audits, Pre-Shipment Inspections, and First Article Inspections (ISO, internal and customer).
- Actively participate in CAPA activity
- Product approval (first piece, in process, and release)
Additional Responsibilities:
- Raise nonconformances with incoming materials and production outputs to QA management and Production Supervisor (s) to identify deficient areas and work to develop CAPA.
- Builds UKM Transit Products image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state- of-the-art practices
- Assist in reverse-engineering activities from customer-supplied samples.
- Assumes other activities and responsibilities from time-to-time as directed by executive management.
- Saturday hours required
Education and Experience
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing and preferably machining/fabrication/welding processes
- Understands blue print reading, with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Minimum of three (3) years of Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing company.
- 3-5 years of metallurgical experience including the use of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparator, CMM.
- Proficient in, or have experience using inspection software in conjunction with a CMM and/or Faro Arm.
- ISO9000 experiences preferred.
- Solid administrative skills, attention to detail and effective project management skills with both business principles and people management.
- Work history using an ERP system.
- High School Education Required
